... Mistakes and all

wonder sometimes why we are so hard on ourselves, like we should be and do everything perfect 24/7.

That's not life, that's not living.

We were meant to make mistakes, to try our hardest, to fall on our faces!  You see, if you never fall, how do you know how to stand?  How would you know happiness from sadness?

You wouldn't.

I've fallen and fought for a lot in my short life.  Fighting for what you want can be exhausting and just when you think of giving up, thats when you become the strongest and fight your hardest!

Negative thoughts can break us too. If you are always thinking you can't do something, you probably won't even try it in the first place.  Positive vibes go a long way!  Be your own cheerleader and believe in yourself!

Living life is actually living it!  That includes mistakes and all!  It's called building good character! 😊❤️😎 #Kungfupanda

Just call me Kung Fu Panda!

Kung Fu Panda ... What do you think of when you hear that name?

I think of a humble, kind hearted, not in the best of shape, very unsuspecting panda who finds himself living his dream along side some amazing fighters who end up becoming his closest friends.

Now, why am I writing about him?  Well, I started martial arts training about 3 months ago and I find myself in his shoes (if he actually wore any).  I'm not in good shape but that doesn't stop me from trying. I've said before my fat does not define who I am and that couldn't be more true, especially now!

Finding marital arts has helped feed my soul.  It's helping me feel more in control of my thoughts, feelings, and my body as a whole.  I feel like I belong; as if I've found the best, most supportive group of friends to train with.

You should check out my teacher, Sifu Freddie Lee, and all our videos!  We try to keep most light hearted and funny but there are lots of me training and always trying my best!

I'll get there, even if it's one baby step at a time!

Here's our first funny video!  Enjoy!
